Welcome Home to the American Orthodox Catholic Church
Holy Scriptures - Apostolic Tradition - Godly Wisdom
At the AOCC, we invite you to experience the Christian faith in a way that feels alive and meaningful. Our traditions are not just old customs. They are connections to Christ that bring peace and purpose to everyday life.
Far from wanting to clash or compete, we pray that we may collaborate, wherever and as much as possible, so that the love of Jesus Christ can be preached to our parched and broken world. We understand that the world will recognize us as his disciples by the love which we have for one another.
Above all, we act upon one unifying motive: a love for Christ, His gifts, His creation, His Word, the Creeds, and the Sacraments. That is our unity and this is our centering point. We always remember the advice of a great man of God, St. Cuthbert, who said: “Do not ever think yourselves better than the rest of your companions who share the same faith. We are glad you visited us today. As you explore our site we hope you will consider joining us in prayer and service. You have a family here!

Who We Are...
The American Orthodox Catholic Church (AOCC) brings ancient eastern Christian spirituality into today’s world. We are a community of believers following the teachings of Christ and His apostles. Our heritage is eastern, but our mission is to share the beauty of the faith with everyone, no matter their background.
Our Mission:
Our mission is simple: to live and share the message of Jesus Christ. We want to help people connect with God through prayer, worship, and a life filled with faith. We work to show that ancient faith can make sense in modern life while keeping its rich meaning and purpose.
Ancient Faith, Modern Relevance
Many people in the west think ancient eastern Christian practices are strange or hard to understand. But at the AOCC, we believe these practices speak to the deepest needs of the heart.
- Worship that Welcomes: Our services aren’t performances. They are moments where we enter the presence of God. The incense, icons, and chants draw us closer to Him.
- The Bible Comes to Life: We read the Bible as more than a book. It’s a living Word that shapes our daily lives.
- Prayer that Heals: In the orthodox tradition, prayer is a way to meet God. It’s more than words—it’s about healing, peace, and becoming fully alive.
What Makes Us Different?
Unlike some forms of Christianity that focus on individualism or intellectual ideas, the Orthodox faith calls us to be part of something bigger—God’s work in the world and our community. This means:
- Full-Body Worship: We pray with our minds, hearts, and bodies.
- Faith with Wonder: Instead of trying to explain everything about God, we embrace His mystery and meet Him through faith and love.
- Change, Not Just Belief: Faith isn’t about earning God’s love. It’s about being changed by His grace.
